  1. There is no social media formula for instant success. Just adding a Facebook and Twitter account won’t help. Interesting and useful content that targets and interests people is important. Updating statuses and messages many times a day is a really good idea.

  2. More accounts, more success: Having accounts in many social media sites is not going to help much. You need to have a place where your followers can go to get more information. So attract traffic to your site by providing links to your website in social networking sites.

  3. The more the better: The more sometimes is not better. It is better to have few followers but who show keen interest in your product and services than huge followers who doesn’t want to know more about your site. So do the best you can to target the correct audience with status, posts, articles and links.

  4. Join every network: Having presence in every network does not guarantee more traffic. Choose few sites and build dedicated traffic. It’s easier to build and maintain few sites with fresh content.

  5. Simply build network: Simply building networks might not work. Integrate search engine optimization with social media marketing. Keep in mind the “keywords” that people use to search products or services. Those “keywords” could find a place in your social media networking accounts.
